What hiking is available near Sawdust Farm Camp?

All guest staying with us have an access permit to hike. We do not have developed trails and an offline gps will be needed. You can also use the 'find my phone' feature using two phones.
Nearby you will find Thompson Ledges, Hogback Ridge and Hail Hollow Wilderness Area all with developed gravel trails within 15-minutes.

What restaurants are nearby?

We personally recommend Debonne Vineyards and Grand River Cellars. We have heard that Ferrante Winery is also very good.
Stockers on the Park at Thompson Square serves dinner and has the best Sunday breakfast! They are cash only and have an ATM available on site.

Where is there lake or beach access nearby?

Geneva on the Lake is 25-minutes and Madison Township is 20-minutes. Fairport Harbor and Mentor Headlands are both worth the drive at 40-minutes for a beach experience. There is also Lake Shore Park in Ashtabula or Lake Erie Bluffs in Perry about 30-minutes away.

Nearby boating and fishing

We have a canoe that you are welcome to rent for $15 for use in our pond. Fishing is catch and release only.
If you have your own boat there is a public launch at Madison Township Park 20-minutes away on Lake Erie.
Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park has kayak and paddleboard rentals
35-minutes away.
